If you ever wanted to be a storm spotter, the National Weather Service offers a great training program to get you certified. Storm spotters play a vital role in severe weather tracking, helping to verify from the field what the KSLA Stormtracker 12 Weather Team and meteorologists from the National Weather Service are seeing on radar.
In preparation for the spring severe weather season, the National Weather Service in Shreveport will be conducting Skywarn Spotter training at various locations across the ArkLaTex over the next 2 months.
