We have news this morning that's likely to seriously affect your morning and afternoon commute over the next several days and for some - over the next year or so.
A key commuter route will be cut off in Shreveport for the next few days, as construction work on the I-49 North/I-220 Interchange cuts off access to the I-220 Cross Lake Bridge.
Tune in for important information on that traffic alert, as well as new developments in plans for the year-long shutdown of another key bridge for many commuters in Shreveport-Bossier: The Jimmy Davis Bridge.
It's one of the area's busiest bridges, and it was expected to be shut down at the beginning of this year for a big renovation project. That closure has already been delayed once, and now KSLA News 12 has learned that it's going to be delayed again.
Tune in this morning to find out how commuters concerned about the closure will have a chance to off their .02 on how traffic will be affected and what can be done to lessen the inconvenience.
We also have a CrimeTracker alert this morning as the search continues for 1 of 2 suspects still on the loose in connection with a kidnapping in East Texas on Wednesday.
Antonio Dante Rivers, 29, is still being sought in the case. He is considered armed and considered dangerous.
In another disturbing case out of Bossier Parish, police say a substitute teacher has been targeting girls in the area for at least 3 years. Now they're hoping more victims will come forward.
As you head out the door this morning, you're going to want to continue to keep that umbrella handy. StormTracker 12 Meteorologist Ron Young says we have unsettled weather for 7 days, but Monday may be the day to watch.
