A Louisiana state judge has denied wrongful conviction compensation for former death row inmate Glenn Ford.

The Caddo Parish man walked free in March 2014 after spending almost 26 years on death row at Louisiana's maximum security prison at Angola.

Ford, now 65, was sentenced to death row for the 1983 death of 56-year-old Isadore Rozeman, a Shreveport jeweler and watchmaker. Ford had denied killing Rozeman.

Caddo Parish District Judge Katherine Dorroh ruled this past week that Ford knew the robbery of Rozeman was going to occur and did nothing to stop it. She says Ford attempted to destroy evidence by selling items taken in the robbery and attempting to find buyers for the murder weapon used by those he implicated in the murder.
