Shreveport firefighters battle 2 overnight house fires

Two Shreveport homes were heavily damaged by fires overnight. The first fire happened in the 3900 block of Lisa Lane just before midnight, and the second happened in the 8400 block of Denny Drive just after 1:30 a.m. No injuries were reported in either fire. A woman who claimed she had been abducted early Tuesday morning is now facing charges. Greenwood police say 19-year-old Megan Lejeune was found safe after she showed up at a local hospital. Authorities say she later admitted that the whole ordeal was made up.

Also on KSLA News 12 This Morning, a man was shot while standing in his front yard. It happened last night in Vivian, La., and the victim told Caddo deputies the three men responsible were wearing masks. We'll have the very latest on KSLA News 12 This Morning.

Shreveport police are looking for the persons responsible for an alleged hit and run involving a pedestrian. It happened around 8 p.m. Tuesday in the 2200 block of Carrie Street. The victim is recovering in the hospital with life-threatening injuries.
