Homeless man struck by truck dies from injuries

A homeless man has died after being struck by a pickup truck last night in Shreveport. Police say the man was in the roadway when he was hit by the truck heading northbound on Linwood Avenue near Lash Street.

Shreveport Mayor Ollie Tyler will name the next fire chief of the Shreveport Fire Department this morning at a press conference. Tyler named six candidates as finalists earlier this month.
