Louisiana ranked as one of the worst states to control bullying

It's a wake up call for parents across the ArkLaTex and the nation: According to a recent study, in the next 7 minutes, a child will be bullied and only 4 out of 100 adults will step in to stop it. On KSLA News 12 at 5, we're taking a closer look at where Louisiana stands when it comes to controlling bullying.

Also at 5, we're continuing coverage on the fight to save one of the Little Free Libraries in Shreveport. Hear what the MPC had to say about the issue during their meeting today.

Plus, the search for the next Shreveport fire chief is now officially down to just six finalists. Mayor Ollie Tyler released the list of finalists today as the department attempts to move forward after a major criminal investigation.

And it today is National Signing Day. Several high school athletes across the ArkLaTex signed their letters of intent to play for various colleges. On KSLA News 12 at 6, Sports Director Shayne Wright will tell you who signed to go where.
