Local mother concerned about sex offenders' distance from school bus stops

When sex offenders move into a neighborhood, notices are usually sent out so families can take precaution. But what would you do if you found out your child catches the school bus directly across the street from where a dozen sex offenders live? On KSLA News 12 at 5, we're investigating on why solving this problem isn't easy.

Also at 5, a Caddo Parish jury has found Gabriel Lee guilty of simple cruelty to animals after he left his pit bull puppy, now known as Braveheart, chained up and starved in a storage facility back in 2013.

The Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) has responded to the Louisiana Progress Action regarding the disposal of more than 15 million pounds of M6 propellant currently stored at Camp Minden. We'll have that response on KSLA News 12 at 6.
