Suspect in Texarkana shooting surrenders, confessed killer walks free

A Texarkana man is behind bars for his alleged role in a shooting Wednesday night that left one woman injured. Police say 51-year-old Curtis Jones surrendered to authorities on Thursday. Hear the victim's frantic call for help on KSLA News 12 at 5.

Plus, in the wake of the controversy in Ferguson and New York, the Marshall Police Department is making a change to better protect its citizens and officers. Marshall police are now equipped with body cameras.

Confessed child killer Phillip DeSelle is now a free man after only serving 24 years of his 50 year sentence. DeSelle walked out of the Wade Correctional Center Thursday morning. On KSLA News 12 at 6, family members of Averie Evans are continuing to warn others of DeSelle's release.
