Many of us find that during the winter, we have problems getting our fruits in the diet.  It makes since, many fruits are not in season.  So, we resort to canned fruit salad.

 

When most of us think of fruit salad, we think of fruit cocktail or chopped up fruits with no dressing.  Our winter fruit salad use spices and flavors of the season, while the nuts add the GOOD fats to our diet.

 

Bring this simple salad to your next party or enjoy in front of the fire!

 

Festive Fruit Salad

1 container of fat free vanilla yogurt

1 can (8 oz) pineapple in its own juice

1 tsp of cinnamon

2 red apples chopped

½ cup of chopped almonds
