SPD: Inmate captured who escaped from custody at University Health

SHREVEPORT, LA (KSLA) -

Shreveport police have found the man who escaped from custody while at University Health.

Cpl. Breck Scott with the Shreveport Police Department says 22-year-old Collin Hayden of Atlanta, Texas, was found in a shed behind a home in the 2700 block of Fulton Street.

Hayden got away from a private guard while the guard was asleep. He left the hospital around 5:20 a.m. Thursday. He was not shackled.

Hayden is listed as an inmate at the Bossier Minimum Security Facility in Plain Dealing, La. He was arrested for outstanding criminal warrants from Bossier Parish. 

He was being held on a $124,200 bond for numerous charges, including theft of a motor vehicle, unauthorized use of a motor vehicle, simple burglary, domestic abuse child endangerment, unauthorized entry of an inhabited dwelling, resisting an officer, three counts of failure to appear and two counts of probation violation.
