SHREVEPORT, LA (KSLA) -

Here in the ArkLaTex, the issue of equal pay has been a hot topic.

Just last month, Shreveport public works employees staged a sick-out complaining of working conditions and poor pay.

The Caddo Commission has urged the Police Jury Association of Louisiana to support any and all efforts by the state or federal government to support raising the minimum wage.

Right now, minimum wage is $7.25 an hour in Louisiana and Texas and $6.25 an hour in Arkansas.
