Organizers prepare for Tennessee State Fair

NASHVILLE, TN (WSMV) -

The 2014 Tennessee State Fair begins Friday at the state fairgrounds in Nashville.

Organizers are busy preparing for the 10-day celebration.  More than 100,000 people are expected to attend.

This year's theme, "Let the Good Times Grow," is a reference to the fair's recent success.

Attendance has been on the rise since 2012.

"This no doubt will be an amazing opening weekend for the State Fair," said Cary Ann Fuller, who heads the Taste of Tennessee for the State Fair.

"No other festival gives you all that Tennessee has to offer in one venue."

The fair features a number of events designed to promote Tennessee agriculture, art and entertainment.
