BATON ROUGE, LA (WAFB) -
Louisiana is on track to save more than $25 million by the end of the fiscal year and it is thanks to a new state office.
The Office of Technology Services is already responsible for saving the state more than $5 million in the last two months.
OTS is a combination of three other state organizations and later this year, will take over a fourth.
Officials said the savings have been the result of consolidating hardware and software contracts, eliminating duplication of services, and streamlining support and maintenance throughout executive cabinet agencies.
