MAGNOLIA, AR (KSLA) -

Authorities have arrested a second man in connection to the deadly shooting that left a Southern Arkansas University student and an alumnus dead.

Magnolia police and Columbia County deputies have arrested 23-year-old Timothy Johnson of Camden, AR and charged him with terroristic act. His bond is set at $1 million.

Byron Lavell Dunn, 20, of Magnolia, Ark. was arrested Tuesday in connection to the shooting. He was also charged with terroristic act and is being held on a $1 million bond.

Johnson and Dunn are accused of shooting and killing SAU football player Brandon Hobdy, 23, of Garland, Texas and SAU alumnus Wayne Payton II, 24, of McNeil Sunday at a back-to-school party at the VFW hall.

Local law enforcement reported that several people were kicked out of the venue after a dispute erupted. They then got into a red vehicle, pulled out a weapon and began shooting indiscriminately at the crowd.

Hobdy and Payton were taken to Magnolia Regional Hospital where there were pronounced dead. Johnson is awaiting his first court appearance.

The investigation remains ongoing.
