SHREVEPORT, LA (KSLA) - The Shreveport branch of the NAACP and the Shreveport-Bossier Black Lawyers Association will hold a free legal clinic next month to give members of the community free legal advice.

The clinic is slated for 10 a.m. September 18 at the Wallette branch of the Shreve Memorial Library. Numerous lawyers will give advice on an array of issues such as divorce, child support and child custody. Lawyers will also answer questions from the audience.

This clinic has been held in Shreveport for the past seven years. It is held in conjunction with the NAACP's annual Freedom Fund Banquet, which will be at 7 p.m. September 19 at Horseshoe Casino's Riverdome.

This year marks the Shreveport NAACP's 100th year of fighting inequality in the area.
