Johnson City man arrested on numerous identity theft, drug fraud charges

Johnson City Police Department officers arrested a man on identity theft and drug fraud charges following an investigation into a report that he was using his ex-wife's and another woman's name to get prescription drugs.

According to a JCPD news release, police arrested Jeremiah Lovelady, 37, 2314 Nave Drive of Johnson City, after he used the women's names for an undetermined amount of time to get prescriptions for Oxycodone.

A subsequent investigation reportedly showed that from Sept. 28, 2012 to July 30 of this year, a total of 26 prescriptions were filed by Lovelady in his ex-wife's name.

Lovelady reportedly obtained 3,210 Oxycodone pills.

According to the release, he also used his girlfriend's personal information to get another 3,060 Oxycodone tablets between Jan. 19, 2013 to July 25 of this year.

Lovelady was charged with 48 counts of identity theft and 48 counts of drug fraud.

He was taken to the Washington County Detention Center, where he was being held on $100,000 bond.

Lovelady was scheduled to appear in Sessions Court on Wednesday at 1:30 p.m.
