SURPRISE, AZ (CBS5) -

Surprise police need help tracking down a suspect who stole a bank card and attempted to use it at several places last month.

The suspect removed a shopper's purse left in a cart at a grocery store on July 19 and rummaged through it, Surprise police Sgt. Mike Donovan said.

The suspect used the card at a local grocery store and tried using it elsewhere, Donovan said. The man later used one of the victim's retail-specific credit cards to make online purchases.

The man left in a white 2005 or 2006 Chevrolet Malibu Maxx.

People with any information about the theft are asked to call the Surprise Police Department at 623-222-4000.
