SHREVEPORT, LA (KSLA) -

All eastbound lanes are still clogged Tuesday evening on W. Bert Kouns Industrial Loop near Shreveport's Southwest corner after a tree fell across the roadway.

Police said it's likely to be another 2 or 3 hours before the tree is cleared. No traffic is being let through on any lanes except for one westbound lane.

Strong wind gusts earlier this evening brought the pine tree down, but no injuries have been reported. No vehicles have been reported damaged either, police said.

Traffic is being re-routed onto Dean Road.

KSLA News 12 will update you on the traffic situation as more details become available.

It's called white spot syndrome virus and it was first discovered in Thailand, but somehow it made its way to ponds in South Louisiana and specialists are struggling to find the funds to research a solution.  “The catch was increasing and increasing and then it dropped 70% and that's when you saw the dead crawfish floating in the water,” said a crawfish farmer of 34 years, Ian Garbarino.
