SHREVEPORT, LA (KSLA) - A Shreveport woman is behind bars following a domestic dispute that sent her boyfriend to the hospital.

The incident happened just after 7 p.m. Monday. Officers were dispatched to the Fox Creek Apartments located in the 1100 block of West 70th Street in relation to a stabbing. Police found 19-year-old Eric Holmes suffering from a single stab wound to the abdomen.

Detectives determined Holmes and his girlfriend, 22-year-old Kashawna Gray, were involved in a verbal altercation that turned physical. The couple was reportedly arguing over money. Police believe Gray used a kitchen knife.

Holmes was taken to University Health in Shreveport with non-life threatening injuries. Gray was taken to Shreveport City Jail, where she was charged with aggravated battery.
