TEXARKANA, AR (KSLA) - U.S. Senator Mark Pryor toured Southwest Arkansas Thursday, promoting how he plans to strengthen America's economy.

Pryor, a Democrat from Arkansas, stopped by the Texarkana Chamber of Commerce and met with local business leaders. He said many of the companies that have left the United States to go to other countries are wanting to come back. He said his "American-made strong" jobs legislation will end the tax giveaways to those companies and provide incentives for them to return.

"...Some of the things we need to do, for example, is when we build things with tax payers' dollars like roads, bridges, airports, whatever it is, we want to make sure they are using American-made products," Pryor said.

According to Pryor, more than two million jobs have been shipped overseas within the past 15 years.
