2 Gregg Co. bank robbery suspects arraigned

LONGVIEW, TX (KLTV) - The suspect in a Gregg County bank robbery, has been arrested. Christian Ponce was booked into the Gregg County Jail early Thursday morning on aggravated robbery charges and a governor's blue warrant for a parole violation. 

Ponce is suspected of robbing the Austin Bank inside of Bar-K Convenience Store on Highway 259 Monday afternoon, along with Hannah Ponce and Broderick Pippens. Officials said the robbery happened at around 4 p.m., and lasted approximately 13 seconds.

Bond for Christian Ponce has not been set. 

Hannah Ponce and Pippins were arrested Wednesday, charged with aggravated robbery and are currently in the Gregg County Jail. They were each arraigned on Thursday and their bond was set at $100,000 each.

Monday witnesses told authorities one of the suspects had a shotgun and sped off in a gold-brown Chevrolet Impala.

This heist was the second in a spree of bank robberies in East Texas. On Monday morning, a man in a business suit robbed the Capital One Bank on the south loop in Tyler. Then, on Tuesday, police say three men robbed Austin Bank on the west loop in Tyler. On Wednesday, a man robbed the East Texas Professional Credit Union on Gilmer Road in Longview.

Despite a sentence of 40 years to life, the Arizona Board of Executive Clemency voted to release him from prison into home arrest. Family members of the victims are concerned for the safety of the community, as are new members of the Clemency Board. CBS 5 Investigates videotaped Huff riding a bike through his Tucson neighborhood. There are no restrictions placed on his proximity to children.
