DEKALB, TX (KSLA) - The family of a Bowie County, Texas man killed during a reported shoot out with deputies is now pointing fingers back at authorities.

However, police and sheriff's deputies argue their use of lethal force was justified because Davis fired first. A female officer was wounded but was treated and released from a local hospital.

Texas state police are now investigating what happened.

Police were called to his home early Monday morning for a report of a domestic disturbance. When all was said and done, Eddie Davis was killed and his home was riddled with bullets from police.

Law enforcement said they fired on Davis after he shot at them. Now, friends and family of Davis want answers so they're using social media to encourage people to come out for what they are calling a "No Justice, No Peace" march on Friday.

The shooting happened at Davis' home near Pecan and Beck streets in DeKalb. They'll meet outside Davis' home in DeKalb, Texas around 6:30 p.m. and march to the police station starting at 7 p.m.
