LONGVIEW, TX (KLTV) - Another East Texas bank was robbed just after 3 p.m. on Wednesday afternoon - making it the fourth such robbery in just over two days.

Longview police say East Texas Professional Credit Union at 3801 Gilmer Road was robbed.

A clerk told police that a white male wearing jeans, a gray polo-style shirt, tennis shoes, a hunting mask and a plaid Hurley-brand baseball cap displayed a weapon and demanded money. The suspect fled the scene in a tan SUV before police arrived. Officers say the SUV was parked on the side of the bank on Crystal Street.

This is the second bank robbery in Gregg County in two days. On Monday, Austin Bank inside the Bar-K Convenience Store was robbed by three men in a gold or tan-colored car.

Meanwhile, in Tyler, two banks have been robbed in the same time period. On Monday, a man in a business suit robbed the Capital One Bank in south Tyler just after 8 a.m. On Tuesday, three men robbed Austin Bank on the west loop just after 10 a.m.

Employees at Primary Colors Preschool and Kiddie Kampus preschool say they went on lockdown after Wednesday's robbery since they are so close to the bank. They say extra security measures were taken as parents came to pick up their children.

Officers say no one was hurt during Wednesday's robbery. The East Texas Professional Credit Union will re-open for business on Thursday.
