SMITH COUNTY, TX (KLTV) - Longview police are advising the Smith County Sheriff's Department and the public that a suspect involved in a Gregg County bank robbery may be in Smith County or surrounding areas.

Police believe the suspect could be driving a green car, and is possibly armed.

Officials said the robbery happened at Austin Bank inside the Bar-K Convenience store on Highway 259 north of Longview around 4 p.m. Monday.

The Gregg County sheriff says a gold or tan Chevrolet pulled up to the side of the bank and two black males got out of the car. A third man stayed in the car.

One of the men, wearing dark clothing, light-colored gloves and a large brim hat entered the bank with a long barrel shotgun and told the clerk, "Give me money." The second man, wearing a light-colored hoodie, light-colored gloves, jeans and sunglasses, stayed at the doorway and didn't speak.

Thirteen seconds later, the men returned to the car with an undisclosed amount of cash. The car then sped off south towards Longview.
