SPD: Man arrested after stealing electronics from Target

SHREVEPORT, LA (KSLA) -

A man is in jail after police say he stole nearly $2,000 in electronics from a South Shreveport store.

Police say 41-year-old Robert Charles Allen, Sr. of Shreveport was taken into custody Tuesday morning in the 5100 block of Monkhouse Drive. After an ongoing investigation, police believe Allen stole at least five televisions from Target in Shreveport over a span of six months.

He is accused on taking the electronics from the store on three different occasions.

Allen's thefts, which were all caught on camera, occurred on February 20, March 13, and August 8. He was accompanied by a young girl during the February 20 theft, in which he reportedly stole a television valued more than $400.

Allen was taken to the Shreveport City Jail where be was charged with three counts of theft of goods and contributing to the delinquency of a minor.
