Police say the gunman went behind the counter at the Phillips 66 on Buncombe Rd., took money and ripped the phone out of the wall before fleeing. No one was injured.
SHREVEPORT, LA (KSLA) -
Shreveport police are investigating the armed robbery of a west Shreveport convenience store early Saturday morning.
Officers were called to the Phillips 66 store in the 6800 block of Buncombe Road at 7:11 a.m. Saturday, where it was reported that a man armed with a semi-automatic handgun came in and demanded money from the clerk.
Police say the gunman went behind the counter, took money and ripped the phone out of the wall before fleeing the scene of the crime.
No one was injured during the robbery.
Investigators are working to recover surveillance footage from the business as part of their ongoing efforts to identify the suspect, who is described as a black male standing approximately six feet tall with a thin build who was last seen wearing dark colored clothes, dark sunglasses and a red and black Chicago Bulls hat with some sort of white cloth covering his face.
