BOSSIER CITY, LA (KSLA) - Police say the suspect in the Bossier City home invasion and shooting last weekend that left a Shreveport man wounded has turned himself in to authorities.

An arrest warrant was issued for 20-year-old Johnny Cardell Thompson Jr. of Bossier City Friday, and police say he turned himself in later that evening.

Police say 30-year-old Paul Davis was found shot in the upper body early August 2 at a home in the 2900 block of Rebel Drive. Davis was shot in what appeared to be a home invasion and robbery.

Davis was taken to University Health in Shreveport and is continuing to recover from his wounds.

Thompson was taken to the Bossier City Jail where he was booked on charges of attempted first-degree murder and attempted armed robbery with a firearm. His bond for both charges is set at $400,000.
