Man killed by train in Tucson identified

TUCSON, AZ (Tucson News Now) -

Tucson Police identified a man killed by a train on Friday morning.

Robert E. Cole, 56, was crossing the railroad tracks near 7th Avenue and 7th Street just before 5:30 a.m. when he was hit by a westbound train, according to TPD Sgt. Chris Widmer. Next of kin was notified.

Traffic Investigations Unit detectives took over the investigation. Police said no one will be cited for the incident.
