TEXARKANA, TX (KSLA) - A 14-year-old has been arrested after a shooting at an East Texas meat store Wednesday night sent one man to the hospital.

Police said three juveniles went into a meat market about 7:30 p.m. and said they wanted to buy a bag of potato chips. One of the juveniles then shot an employee inside the store, 13 Hermanos Carniceria, located at 2307 New Boston Road in Texarkana. Police say it appears to have been a robbery attempt.

The store employee, identified at 36-year-old Luciano Dominguez of Hope, Ark., was shot once in the chest and taken to Wadley Regional Medical Center by LifeNet.

The three attackers left the scene and ran across New Boston Road into the Beverly neighborhood, police said.

Police are not ruling out a link to a robbery shooting Wednesday morning at a convenience store. That one happened in the 800 block of Richmond Road, less than a mile away from the New Boston location.

The victim's condition has not been released. The teenager arrested was charged with aggravated robbery and evading arrest on foot. Police say more charges could be filed.

Police expect additional arrests. Anyone with information about this crime is urged to call the Texarkana, Texas Police Department at 903-798-3116 or Crime Stoppers at 903-792-STOP.
