ArkLaTex men charged in child porn sting

BATON ROUGE, LA (KSLA) -

Three ArkLaTex men have been arrested in sting targeting child pornography and solicitation of children for sex.

Paul Woodell, 42 of Shreveport; Kenneth Jurl, 39 of Bossier City; and David Willford, 53 of Greenwood were hauled in through a joint effort of the state's Internet Crimes Against Children task force.

They were three of eight arrested in an operation focused on offenders in the Shreveport-Bossier and Baton Rouge areas.

Federal, state and local officials worked on a two-week undercover initiative concentrating on nabbing offenders who possess, produce or distribute child pornography, and the commercial or online solicitation of children for sexual purposes.

Here are the specific charges:

  • Woodell, of 7000 Fern Ave. Apt. 195, Shreveport, is charged with one count of distribution of pornography involving juveniles.
  • Jurl, of 916 Rickey Place, Bossier City, is charged with two counts of distribution of pornography involving juveniles.
  • Willford, of 11425 Highway 80, Greenwood, is charged with 31 counts of distribution of pornography involving juveniles.
