Shreveport man arrested for stealing money from Youree business

SHREVEPORT, LA (KSLA) -

A Shreveport was arrested Sunday morning and charged with burglarizing his former place of employment.

Police linked Patrick Emerson, 32 of the 2800 block of Corbitt Street, to the break-in of a business in the 7200 block of Youree Drive. Evidence pointed to Emerson as the person who took an undisclosed amount of money from a safe at the business.

Surveillance video captured the Sunday morning break-in.

Emerson was arrested at his home and booked into the Shreveport City Jail on one count of simple burglary, police said.
