Shreveport police are looking for three men who stole $5,000 worth of meat from a local business.
A Shreveport man is behind bars after police say he and another man stole thousands of dollars of meat from a local business last month.
Police say on July 16 they were called to King's Grocery in the 2400 block of Martin Luther King Jr. Drive where the owners told them $5,000 worth of meat had been stolen from their store.
After receiving numerous tips, police were able to link 34-year-old Demarcus Burns to the crime. Burns was later arrested without incident.
Surveillance video shows two men breaking into the store and taking items. Another man waited outside. Police say the men wheeled the meat away in a city garbage can.
Burns was taken to Shreveport City Jail where he was charged with simple burglary. Police are still looking for the other two men involved.
