QUITMAN, TX (KLTV) - The preliminary autopsy report has been released in the death of two Wood County children.

In a release from the Southwestern Institute of Forensic Sciences, it is stated that Gabriella Guerrero, age three, died from blunt force injuries. The death is a homicide, the report says.

The same cause of death is listed for one-year-old Natalye Price. Natalye would have been 2 years old August 1.

On July 24, according to Quitman Police Chief Kelly Cole, a male caller reported that two little girls, ages 2 and 3,  were not breathing and he couldn't wake them up. An officer was dispatched to the Dogwood Villa apartment complex in Quitman. When he arrived, both girls were dead.
Quitman police and Texas Rangers have worked together on the case since that time.

On July 25, Police arrested Thomas Wayne Liles of Quitman on a charge of tampering with or fabricating physical evidence. Online jail records don't list an attorney for Liles, who was held on a $25,000 bond. On July 31, his bond was increased to $50,000. No new charges were added at this time.
