TEXARKANA, TX (KSLA) -

East Texas police are searching for a man wanted in a drive-by shooting they believe to be linked to a fight that happened Monday in Texarkana.

Police have arrested a Texarkana man Monday for allegedly slugging another man with a handgun. Stacy Vaughn, 32, pulled a gun out of his pocket and struck Samuel Moore, 31 of Nash, TX in the head with it.

Police said Vaughn and Moore were in a fist fight in the 3300 block of New Boston Road when the incident happened. Vaughn fled the scene before police arrived.

Officers were able to locate Vaughn at a home in the 1200 block of Stuckey Street. He was charged with aggravated assault and taken to jail. Police are still investigating the case.

The same day, police were called to the 1200 block of Stuckey Street. A witness said suspects drove up in a while car and a man she knew to be Moore fired a handgun five times in her direction.

Police linked the shooting to the New Boston Road incident. Detectives have issued a warrant for deadly conduct on Moore for the shooting.

Early on Tuesday, police responded to the 2300 block of W. 10th Street for another shooting. The victim, Terry Miller, 47 of Texarkana, TX, told officers that a white car and a maroon SUV drove by the home and fired multiple shots into it.

Miller's injuries to his torso were not considered to be life threatening, and he was taken to Wadley Hospital. Police believe this shooting was in retaliation to the shooting on Stuckey Street.
