Dez Bryant just reaching his prime

OXNARD, CA (KLTV) - Quarterback Tony Romo said if he was getting married this year, Dez Bryant would be in his wedding, referring to Dez as his little brother. Well Bryant is the big brother to the Cowboys younger receivers and is leading by example in his fifth year in the league

Already a Pro-Bowler at age 25, Dez Bryant is just entering his prime. With 25 touchdowns the past two seasons, head coach Jason Garrett believes Dez can actually get better. "He's a more mature route runner, I think he has a better idea of what he wants to do, how he wants to attack defenders, and the way he sees coverages," Garrett said.

The praises didn't stop there. Garrett added, "He just continues to grow, he loves the game, he has great energy. He ahs so much juice, its infectious. He's just a positive guy that we love to have on our club"

Now Dez's passion on the sideline has been a bit controversial in the past. But teammate Cole Beasley says Bryant's passion is merely setting the tone. "He is so passionate about football, he will get mad and want to punch one of our defensive backs, but its all friendly competition," Beasley said. "They all understand that, but he has so much fire. He pumps all our receivers up and makes us want to work."

Bryant added, "People can say what they want to say. It's between these lines the way that you work, the younger guys need to see that you cant take anything for granted. So i need to come out here and lead by example."

The latest of a long line of great 88's in Cowboys history, the East Texan is working to be the very best. "I hopefully can make this team the best Cowboy team you know ever," Bryant said. "That's what we are going to do. I learn new things and things just become easier by the day. To me its scary just how much I love the game and not only myself, I want my teammates to be great."
