Firefighters battling blaze at Shreveport apartment complex

SHREVEPORT, LA (KSLA) -

Firefighters are on the scene of an apartment fire on Buncombe Road in Shreveport, where a 15-year-old was forced to jump out of a second-story window to safety.

Fire investigators say the fire happened around 9:15 a.m. Tuesday at the Olde Salem Village apartments, 6725 Buncombe Road. Two apartments were involved. The fire started in a downstairs apartment and spread.

Investigators say both apartments were occupied. Two adults and three children were in the downstairs apartment and were able to escape.

No injuries have been reported. The cause of the fire is still under investigation.
