Shreveport police looking for elderly man missing for a month

SHREVEPORT, LA (KSLA) -

The Shreveport Police Department is putting out the call for help in finding an elderly man who has been missing for nearly a month.

Back on June 27, 2014, Shreveport Police patrol officers were dispatched to a home in the 2900 block of Corbitt Street relative to a missing persons report. Family members told officers that 79-year-old Charles L. Smith walked away from his home there at around 1:00 p.m.

Family members reported Smith was last seen wearing a yellow shirt, blue jeans and black boots. He is described as being about 6'5", weighing 160 pounds. He suffers a medical condition requiring constant medication. Efforts to locate Smith have been unsuccessful and authorities are concerned for his welfare.
