SHREVEPORT, LA (KSLA) -
Two men are behind bars after being involved in a shots fired incident Thursday afternoon.
Police say they received reports of a man firing a gun in the 600 block of Harrison Street. Witnesses were able to identify the suspect by name and vehicle.
Authorities say several officers knew the suspect stayed in the 6500 block of Southern Avenue and spotted him and another man in the yard as they pulled up to his residence. The suspect took off running and was caught a short time later in a vacant building in the 6400 block of Henderson Avenue.
The gun fired in the incident was not located, however, the suspect had a large-capacity magazine in his pocket when he was arrested. Officers located a BB gun at the residence.
The suspect was charged with aggravated assault with a firearm and resisting arrest. The other man with him was charged with resisting arrest.
