TEXARKANA, TX (KSLA) -

Strong storms are passing through parts of the ArkLaTex Wednesday afternoon leaving a mess behind them. We're starting to get photos of downed trees and damage to houses around the area.

Earlier, Sevier County, Arkansas saw possible wind damage on some barns. Winds around 70 miles per hour emerged on radar near DeQueen, AR.

James Riley's Texarkana, Texas home took a big hit from high winds and wild weather. It left a cross hatch of branches and bramble around his house on Waterman Street.

His roof even caved in after a neighbor's tree lost some limbs.

"Trees was everywhere, on top of the house and everywhere," Riley said. "It happened in a matter of seconds."

He had no warning as he watched a movie just feet from where tree debris smashed down into his living room.

"Man that was scary though because I didn't know what was going on," he said. "Sounded like a bomb had went off in here."

No one was at Riley's house except him, and he's glad his grandchildren weren't around when it all happened.
