Two Blanchard men charged in Quail Creek vehicle break-ins

SHREVEPORT, LA (KSLA) -

Shreveport police have arrested two men in connection with several vehicle break-ins Monday morning in East Shreveport.

Brandon Bays, 21 and Dustin Bays, 22 both of Blanchard, were taken into custody and charged with two counts each of simple burglary Monday afternoon. Police said they were spotted breaking into several vehicles parked at the Residence at River Bend apartments in the 1000 block of Quail Creek Road.

According to police, witnesses saw the two entering the vehicles about 4 a.m. in a parking lot and confronted them, giving chase when the suspects fled on foot.

Brandon Bays was caught after police fished him out of a bayou near Knight Street close to the apartments. Dustin Bays was arrested by Caddo Parish Sheriff's deputies at his Blanchard home.
