SHREVEPORT, La. (AP) - A 60-year-old Baton Rouge man has been sentenced to 94 months in federal prison for using fake names to steal vehicles worth tens of thousands of dollars.

Stephanie Finley, the U.S. attorney for the western district of Louisiana, says Charles K. Smith also was ordered by U.S. District Court Judge Elizabeth Foote on Wednesday to three years' supervised release and to repay $91,208 in restitution for his crimes, to which Smith pleaded guilty in February.

Smith admitted to using fraudulent checks written for a combined $241,761, and signed with various aliases - Anthony J. Barnes, Randal Bass and William Rayford Johnson - to purchase a Winnebago, SeaPro boat and a GMC Terrain.
