A Thibodaux man is facing charges after he crashed into an apartment complex while drunk, according to Lafourche Parish Sheriff Craig Webre.
Corey Hood, 33, is charged with first-offense DWI and reckless driving.
On Monday just before 9:15 p.m., deputies received a call that a car had struck the brick wall of an apartment building at City Place Townhomes in Lockport. Hood was taken to the hospital with a possible head injury; no one else was hurt.
After being released from the hospital, Hood was taken in for questioning and a sobriety test, which he failed. Police said Hood admitted to drinking before driving. A Breathalyzer test showed a blood alcohol level at 0.143g.
Because it was his first offense, Hood was issued a criminal summons and released.
