BOSSIER PARISH, LA (KSLA) -
The Bossier Parish Sheriff's Office is asking for the public's help in locating whoever stole farm equipment from a Plain Dealing barn.
Detectives say the incident happened sometime between Monday, June 30 and Tuesday, July 1 in the 1000 block of Highway 537. They say the thieves stole a green 2003 John Deere 894 eight-row corn header valued at $25,000. They also stole a red and yellow New Holland 320 hay baler valued at $1,500 and a John Deere water pump valued at $1,000.
Detectives believe the thieves backed their vehicles up to the barn where the equipment was already loaded on trailers, hooked up the trailers and left with the equipment.
Anyone with information about the stolen farm equipment is urged to contact the Bossier Crime Stoppers at (318) 424-4100, the Louisiana Department of Agriculture and Forestry Crime Stoppers at 1 (800)558-9741 or Detective Charlie Myrick with the Bossier Parish Sheriff’s Office at (318) 965-2203.
