SHREVEPORT, LA (KSLA) -

A Shreveport man is behind bars after police say he shot another man in the right thigh.

Officers arrested 19-year-old Noel Garner Thursday, charging him with aggravated battery. He is accused of shooting 21-year-old Devarcus Hall just after 10:30 p.m. June 28 in the 3000 block of Fulton Street.

Garner reportedly approached Hall and a group of men as they were walking and challenged Hall to a fight before pulling out a gun and shooting him.

Garner is the second person arrested in connection with this shooting. Earlier this month police arrested 18-year-old Ja'Kenneth Evans, of Shreveport, charging him with aggravated assault.

Garner was taken to the Shreveport City Jail.
