Little Rock interstate ramp closing for sign work

Posted: Updated:

LITTLE ROCK, Ark. (AP) - Arkansas highway crews will close a ramp between Interstate 430 and I-630 in Little Rock so it can hang signs.

The work at the Big Rock interchange in west Little Rock was to have been done Tuesday night but was delayed because of bad weather. It now is slated to begin at 10 p.m. Wednesday and last until Thursday at 5 a.m.

The exit ramp between southbound I-430 and eastbound I-630 will close. Traffic will be detoured to Shackleford Road.

If the weather turns bad, the work will be delayed again.

The interchange is the busiest in the state. The work is part of a $125 million construction project that will add flyover ramps between the highways by next year.
