BOSSIER CITY, LA (KSLA) -  SWEPCO is working to repair a utility pole in Bossier City after an 18-wheeler snagged a utility line, causing the pole to snap.

The incident happened just after 1 p.m. in the 900 block of Northgate Road. Police say the 18-wheeler was coming out of a business when it got caught on some lower lines. The outside northbound lane of traffic is blocked while SWEPCO repairs the pole.

Residents close to the area are reporting power outages, and Barksdale Air Force Base has closed the North Gate until Thursday. No injuries were reported.
