Police have padlocked a north Nashville motel after having it declared a public nuisance.
Metro police shut down The Hallmark Inn at 309 W. Trinity Lane on Tuesday morning.
According to police, all rooms at the motel are being vacated.
"This motel has a lengthy history of police responses to criminal activity," Metro police tweeted from its official account.
Metro police have responded to 1,600 calls at the motel over the last four years.
Dozens of families who lived at the motel have been displaced.
According to one resident, the closing of the motel may be a blessing in disguise for them.
