A Clarksville nightclub has been shut down and declared a public nuisance.
Clarksville police closed and padlocked Club Magic on Monday afternoon.
The closing is a huge relief to neighbors who live in the area near Fort Campbell Boulevard and Fountainbleau Road.
The neighbors have been complaining about the club for months. Their biggest problem has been with gunshots being fired constantly.
Clarksville police launched an eight-month investigation into the club and found constant gang activity, many cases where people were shooting guns in the parking lot and numerous cases of fighting.
The city and police department closed the establishment Monday afternoon and were on site until almost 7 p.m.
Police also dealt with rioting, wrecks in the parking lot and illegal serving of food since October 2013.
