SHREVEPORT, LA (KSLA) -

A Sunday afternoon shooting near a central Shreveport intersection sent one man to the hospital.

That person was reportedly walking down W. 86th Street toward St. Vincent Avenue when it happened. He said he felt a stinging sensation as he was walking, then took off running and later collapsed, police said.

Official reports indicate a family member took him to University Health Shreveport, where he was found to have been shot in the back and the leg. His injuries were considered to be non-life threatening, SPD Cpl. Marcus Hines said.

Police have no suspects and aren't immediately certain what the motive was in this shooting.
