SHREVEPORT, LA (KSLA) -

Shreveport Police investigators are asking for help from the public in identifying a woman who was seen on security video snatching an envelope full of cash from the front desk of a local motel back in May.

Police say it happened around 1:30 p.m. on May 9, as the woman was waiting in the lobby area of the Moonrider Inn in the 5200 block of Monkhouse Dr. They say she had been removed from her room for failing to pay. When the clerk on duty left the area, the woman went behind the counter and took an envelope containing cash from the register drawer.

The woman is described as a large black female, who was wearing light green top and reddish/orange capri pants. Crime Stoppers is offering a $400.00 reward for information leading to the arrest of the suspect. Contact Crime Stoppers at 673-7373 or www.lockemup.org
